Today is a great day to use as an example that we can all learn new skills! I have never built a website before, and the idea of it seemed very daunting to me. Well, today I finally told myself I needed to get a better start on creating this website. I needed more than just the URL. The site needed context; it needed the meat and potatoes. It was a struggle. Let me tell you. I sat here in a lovely coffee shop just struggling. I wanted to give up and put it off until later. Again. Procrastination is my best skill. But I kept telling myself, “You can do it. You can figure this out.” And here I am! This post is evidence that I CAN do it! I finally got so much of this figured out! I’ve been sitting here for probably two hours pulling my hair out and probably getting funny looks from the workers, but I did it!

This is a great way to start my blog. With struggle. It’s proof that I struggle just as much as so many of others. But if we have persistence and determination (and a little self-discipline) we can all learn new skills and better ourselves. Here’s the best part; I’m not done learning this website thing. I will never be done learning and growing. And I’m so excited about that! We have to fall in love with the process of bettering ourselves and what we are doing. That is how we will keep going, and why we won’t give up. You can do it. Whatever it is you’re working on, you can do it. I’m here cheering you on!
