About Me

My name is Jasmine Kocon and I am currently working on my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. I have a B.S. in Biology Education and am a former high school science teacher. I have been trained in the University of Penn’s Resiliency Program and am a co-developer of the “I Am Resilient” curriculum and teacher training. “I Am Resilient” is a high school curriculum rooted in helping high school students become more resilient. (For more information on the “I Am Resilient” curriculum please email me.)

I am a firm believer in being happy. Happiness is the key to success. Many people think success is the key to happiness, but I know that’s backwards. I am a happy, positive person who also has bad days. It’s on those days, I look to gratitude to manifest happiness. This website is called At Choice because we are always at choice in life. We CHOOSE our thoughts and actions. We must take 100% responsibility for our lives. This may mean being strong enough to ask for help. It may mean being willing to learn and practice the skills needed to better ourselves. Whatever it means for you, I hope you can find some benefit in this website or lean on me for coaching.
